About the society
The Painting with Light Society are a group of digital landscape photographers based in East Anglia. Conceived by Dave Peck the society was initially formed to exhibit at the St Helena Hospice conference/education centre in Colchester. This first location had sufficient wall space for nearly sixty prints ranging from A1 down to A4 in size. From the scale of this first exhibition the society was born. A percentage of all sales from the St Helena exhibition are donated to the hospice. The society’s name was chosen to describe the member’s passion for producing striking landscape images full of colour and atmosphere. These colours are as captured by the camera. Even though the members have unique styles to their work they all have one thing in common, the ability to understand and work with light.
